Ben Hong was born in 1953 from the hometown of Kulim in Kedah. His earlier involvement in the building industry include working in a building contractors office and a period in an architectural firm.
Al-Ambia Sdn. Bhd. started in a modest scale when it was incorporated on 3rd October 1981. Its initial gradual growth was thwarted by the recession of the mid eighties. Hard management lessons were learn coupled with determined integrity resolved financial difficulty during the period. Work load increased from early nineties and annual turnover exceeded RM$100 million by 1995.
Our collaboration in construction efforts with established or turnkey contractors (both local and foreign) expedite our growth. To extend work efficiency, Al-Ambia Sdn Bhd has built up its own comprehensive lists of equipment and enlisted application of ISO9001:2000 for management efficiency. Tang Juang Yew was born in 1957, native of Kuala Lumpur. He is a third generation involved in the building industry, his grandfather followed by his father, were building contractors. He initiated his building industry experience in an architects office. He is presently the Council Member of Master Builders Association Malaysia.
Al-Ambia Sdn Bhd (ASB) currently employs a work force of 180 staff and a labor force of 5000 workers in various discipline locally and internationally. The team of Chairman, Executive Director and Managing Director makes major decisions in ASB. A team of Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, engineers and planners ably backs them.
